Village Millennium Service
This Millennium year is an important one for the world-wide church
as a celebration of 2000 years since the birth of Jesus.
As part of the Hurst Village Millennium celebrations there will be a special
Village Millennium Service on St. Nicholas' Day - Wednesday 6 December - at St. Nicholas' Church.
A candle-lit procession (starting at 6.30pm) from the Village Halls to the Church
will precede the service, which starts at 7.00pm.
Everyone is invited to this service which will be
a celebration of village life and activities, and the faith
of many of the people who live here, focusing on our Patron Saint.
The service will include contributions from the children of St. Nicholas School
and the Twyford Choir.
Hot mince pies and mulled wine will be available after the service.
Other significant services at St. Nicholas' Church include:
Harvest Festival, 24 September at 11.00am.
Remembrance Sunday, 12 November at 10.45am.
Further information about the services at St. Nicholas and St. Mary's Winnersh
