Hurst Village Society News

Hurst Village Society has a new committee under the chairmanship of David Shapland, who was unanimously re-elected at the last committee meeting. There have been two resignations from the committee – Martin Kearsley and John Lemon. Two other committee members, Kevin Cottrell and Janet Spiller, also stood down at the AGM on 2 March, and were successfully re-elected.

Also at the AGM the committee welcomed Anthony McQuillan, who recently moved to Hurst and has joined the committee to become the HVS Secretary.

Anthony moved to the village in October last year with his wife Fran and daughters Chloe (5) and Amelia (2). After five years living abroad in Paris and Geneva they are enjoying settling back into life in England, but would appreciate a slight improvement in the weather! Anthony works at Hewlett-Packard in Bracknell, and is looking forward to contributing to the Society and getting to know people in the village.
