PLANNING UPDATE

Hurst Village Society has written to the District Council objecting to the proposed farm shop and food warehouse and packing business on land between Lodge Road and Tape Lane.

This land, which is owned by Luff Farms Ltd, has been the subject of several failed planning applications in the past. HVS has objected on the grounds of no business plan, unfair competition to our village shops, increased traffic, and excessively large buildings. We have also voiced our concern over plans for the accommodation of cattle in the same building as the storage of food for human consumption.
