St. Nicholas Christmas Fayre

Start your Christmas shopping at the annual village Christmas Fayre run by St. Nicholas church, which will take place on Saturday 23 November from 2 - 4 pm in the Village Hall.

There will be all the usual stalls - toys, crafts, books, jewellery, white elephant, bric-a-brac, and cakes, plus games, tombola, refreshments, and a truly stupendous Grand Draw.

First prize is a week's holiday for up to six people in a French cottage with private swimming pool; second prize is a weekend for two people at a Brook Hotel; third prize is two tickets to Sonning Mill Dinner Theatre; fourth prize is a round of golf for two at Bearwood Lakes Golf Course. Other prizes include meals for two at The Castle, Jolly Farmer, and Green Man, plus several other superb prizes. Draw tickets are available now from Jo Penney, Gill Gatehouse, in Jennings the Butchers, or at the Church.

The Fayre is organised and run by St. Nicholas Church but many stalls are run by local village groups, such as the Brownies, the school, and the playgroup, so it is a truly village event. And just in case you're wondering... Father Christmas will be in his grotto!

For further information, offers of help, interest in running a stall, please contact Gill Gatehouse on 0118 978 xxxx (or e-mail).
