Vehicle Activated Signs (VAS)

Hurst will have VAS installed on Broadwater Lane near the Elephant & Castle and on the Wokingham Road just inside the 30mph speed limit; these VAS will be operating by 4th November.

Well done to the HVS, Hurst Parish Council and Wokingham District Council who have worked hard and donated funds to get these signs onto the road which has the most recorded speeding traffic in the Village. The Highways Board Chairman David Chopping allowed us to give our case to the members, suggesting that a donation towards the cost of the work would put us on to the priority list. Had funds not been agreed we would have had to wait years. Thank you to all involved.
