Summer Events and Parties in the Village

It's full steam ahead for events and parties in the village, starting with the two-day Hurst Horse Show and Country Fayre at the Willowmead field in School Road on Saturday and Sunday 29 and 30 June, and the Party in the Park on Saturday 6 July.

Full details of this year's Horse Show and Country Fayre can be found inside this newsletter.

The Swamp Things make a welcome return to Hurst to blow up a storm on Saturday 6 July at the Party in the Park. This event, which is now run by the Football Club, starts at 6.30pm on the same field as the Horse Show the previous weekend.

People are invited to bring a picnic, tables, chairs, and rugs in case the weather is cool. There will be a prize for the best table, so this is a chance to dust down the candelabra and look out the best linen! The Football Club will be running a bar.

Joining The Swamp Things will be a seven-piece group The Outreach Band making their first appearance at the Party in the Park. Tickets cost £8 in advance and £10 on the night. They can be bought from Jeff Pitt on 0118 934 xxxx, Ty Bolton on 0118 934 xxxx or Jim Wallace on 0118 932 xxxx.
