Village Shops open during Christmas holiday period

Hurst Village Stores will be open on Christmas Eve from 6.30am to 4.00pm, and the Post Office from 9.00am to 12.30pm. The shop and Post Office will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, re-opening at usual hours on 27 December. On New Year's Eve the Post Office will be open from 9.00am to 4.00pm and the shop from 6.30am to 5.00pm - they will be closed on New Year's Day. Pensions due on days when the Post Office is closed will be paid a week early.

Jennings the Butchers expect this year to be as busy as last year, and their shop will be open from 6.00am to 5.00pm each day on 23 December and Christmas Eve. They will be closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and may be open on 27 December. They will also be open on New Year's Eve.

Hurst Bakery and Gift Shop will be open on Christmas Eve from 8.00am to 12 noon. The shop will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and 27 December, then open on 28 December from 8.00am to 1.00pm, and normal hours on 30 December. New Year's Eve times are 8.00am to 12 noon. The shop will be closed on New Year's Day, and open on 2 January from 8.00am to 12 noon.
